More than 30,000 Australians have scored discounted stamp duty or managed to dodge it all together in a push to support young families who are being “cut out of the housing market”.
The NSW government’s First Home Buyers Assistance program has helped 33,365 first home buyers pay no, or discounted, stamp duty in one of the government’s biggest cost of living relief measures.
