Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance has had a mid-air scare after his plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
The pilot turned back to Milwaukee’s Mitchell International Airport after he reportedly “advised there was a malfunction with the door seal”.
“As soon as the issue was resolved, the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati,” a spokesperson told Newsweek.
The plane returned to the airport around 1.30 pm local time and was cleared to take off again about 2.15pm.
Ohio Senator Vance was named as Donald Trump’s running mate for November’s election.
